The Emporia Rotary Club invites members of the community to “grab some groceries” that will help
raise funds for Abundant Grace’s free community meals.
The Grocery Grab raffle will allow one individual five minutes to grab as many groceries as possible
at Goods CashSaver the morning of Saturday, Nov. 14.
Anyone 18 years or older can enter this raffle by purchasing a ticket from any Emporia Rotary
member. Tickets are also available at Good’s CashSaver. Tickets may be purchased for a $10
donation, and each ticket has a gift coupon for $5 off the ticket owner’s next $50 purchase at
Good’s CashSaver.
On Saturday, Nov. 7, semi-finalists will be drawn. The six lucky people will then arrive at Good’s
CashSaver by 6:45 am Nov 14, where one of them will be chosen as the finalist in the Grocery Grab.
The semi-finalists not selected for the Grocery Grab will each receive a $50 gift certificate to Good’s
CashSaver. Semi-finalists will be posted on the Emporia Rotary Facebook page after the drawing on
Nov. 7th.
The Grocery Grab allows one individual to load their cart(s) with as many groceries as possible in a
5 minute timeframe. Certain restrictions apply and are listed on each ticket.
The proceeds from this year’s Grocery Grab will go to Abundant Grace. The mission of Abundant
Grace is to provide nutritious meals to people in our community. More than 8,000 free meals have
been served in 2026. Drive through pick up is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 4:30-6 at Grace
United Methodist Church.
The Emporia Rotary Club has been doing good work locally and around the world every year since it
was founded in 1917. The club maintains ongoing projects throughout the Lyon County community.
In total, more than $15,000 was given in its 2025/2026 Fiscal year to support various agencies and
projects. The Emporia Rotary Club supports literacy working with the Diverse Voices author project,
provides support to the Emporia Middle School Interact Club and annually hosts a Pickleball
tournament to raise dollars for Corky’s Cupboard. It has financially helped support various Match
Day participants, USD 252 Honor Flight, Kansas Spanish Speakers and United Way of the Flint Hills
to name a few. Service Projects include helping agencies with labor needed to have a “clean up”
day, install new equipment, and/or create new spaces. Last year, the Grocery Grab fundraiser,
allowed the Emporia Rotary Club to donate $3,440 to Bloom House Youth Services.
Join the fun and earn a chance to “grab some groceries” by purchasing a ticket from any Rotarian
before November 7th.
