Megan McGuire and Dr. Mark Argabright from Southern County USD 252 presented how they do Honor Flights. Part of the Honor Flight Network, it is a national program of honoring veterans with trips to Washington, DC. USD 252 has provided 125 to 150 veterans with a trip they will never forget. Those veterans who have made the trip are great advocates for the program. All veterans are encouraged to be a part of this program. Student Guardians are paired with a veteran on each trip. Student Guardians Nelah Davis and Mallory Kueser made a recent trip and helped describe the unforgettable experience. To add to the whole experience, the Patriot Guard creates a great send off to honor the veterans and also greet them upon their return.

Upcoming trips scheduled are on November 4-5, 2019 and April 27-28, 2020. Go to their Facebook page at USD 252 Honor Flight.
